ABOUT AMMONIT WIND TUNNEL GMBH
Competence, experience and precision in the calibration of wind measuring instruments.
Ammonit Wind Tunnel GmbH was founded in 2015 by Ammonit Measurement GmbH and WIND-consult GmbH in order to bundle its competences in the field of flow measurement technology and other meteorological measurement technology.
Experience and know-how
The Ammonit Wind Tunnel GmbH has been accredited since 2017 by the German Accreditation Body GmbH (DAkkS) according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 for the calibration of flow quantities (flow velocity of gases). AWT is a member of MEASNET and actively participates in the Anemometer Calibration Expert Group.
Ammonit Wind Tunnel GmbH has successfully participated in the round robin test for the calibration of cup anemometers carried out by MEASNET in cooperation with IECRE in 2017. We have been offering sensor calibration services on the market since May 2017. Since then approx. 3000 calibrations have been carried out each year.
The companies involved in the AWT have many years of experience and extensive know-how in sensor technology, flow and meteorological measurement technology as well as calibration and testing processes.
Ammonit Measurement has been active in the wind industry since 1989, with own data loggers, a web monitoring platform and the conception of complete measuring systems for the wind and solar industry among others.
WIND-consult has been a DAkkS accredited test laboratory for wind energy since 1996. From 1992 to 2017, anemometer calibration was carried out by WIND-consult GmbH. From 2007 to 2017 WIND-consult was an DAkkS accredited calibration laboratory for flow speed sensors and worked actively in the group of anemometers of MEASNET since 2000.
