Measuring wind at highest precision

Measuring the wind is essential for the wind energy industry. Anemometers are the key instruments for wind speed measurement. In order to evaluate the accuracy and stability of anemometers, each sensor is individually calibrated in a wind tunnel. Ammonit Wind Tunnel GmbH (AWT) has designed and built its own wind tunnel to offer top-quality calibration services.

In order to measure wind conditions as precisely as possible, top quality and calibrated measurement instruments are crucial. Non-calibrated sensors can significantly increase the uncertainty factor for planning and implementing wind energy projects as well as for technical surveying of wind turbines.

Ammonit Wind Tunnel is accredited by DAkkS as independent calibration laboratory according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025. We are member of the MEASNET group. Our wind tunnel has been verified and meets the high quality criteria of MEASNET for sensor calibration. Hence, we calibrate your sensors in our wind tunnel according to IEC 61400-12-1 and MEASNET.
